RESIFESTGO: RESILIENCE FESTIVAL IN GORIZIA

From October 13th to 16th 2022, Gorizia will feature a series of events as part of the Italian National Civil Protection Week. RESIFESTGO aims to provide an opportunity for emergency managers and citizens to discuss the issues of resilience and Civil Protection, from a cross-border and European perspective.

Simulation activities, exchanges of good practices, round tables and a “Citizens Jury” will contribute to the definition of strategic objectives for the Resilience Strategy of the Municipality of Gorizia also in the light of the pandemic and the recent (cross-border) emergency related to the July 2022 forest fires.

• 14:00 – 18:30 – Technical Seminar “From Emergency Management to Community Resilience: European Best Practices and Lessons Learned on Forest Fire Management”

Friday, October 14th

• 15:00 – Start of the Civil Protection exercise #GOtoRESILOC
• 16:30 – 19:00 – Simulation with citizens “Managing the emergency”

Saturday, October 15

• 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Civil Protection exercise #GOtoRESILOC

Sunday, October 16

• 08:00 – 11:00 – Technical debriefing on Civil Defense Exercise #GOtoRESILOC
• 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Citizens Jury on Resilience strategic goals for the Municipality of Gorizia
