On Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December twentyfive Mayors of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region met at the Castello di Spessa for the first part of the “Leadership Academy Programme”, the initiative financed by the Council of Europe and implemented by AICCRE FVG in collaboration with ISIG.
Over the two days, local administrators have been involved, in the presence of the Regional Councilor Sebastiano Callari, in a training course recognised at European level on issues and tools of good democratic governance. The workshop was coordinated by Alina Tatarenko, head of the Governance Division at the Directorate-General of the Council of Europe.
The initiative, which will continue in a second appointment on 16th and 17th December, fits into the groove of the activities developed in recent years in the Region, starting with the ELoGE Program, the European Label of Governance Excellence, awarded to 16 Municipalities of the Region on the basis of the implementation of the 12 Principles of Good Democratic Governance.
