DIGIMOBI Torre e Natisone promotes the network of non-motorized transportation in the Torre and Natisone Valleys, as well as the environmental, historical, and cultural heritage that it connects and traverses. The project involves 16 municipalities and brings together institutions, businesses, associations, and other local stakeholders to identify priorities and develop shared approaches to managing the network.

The initiative combines community participation, local knowledge, and digital tools. Mapping routes and points of interest, identifying priorities for action, and fostering dialogue among stakeholders all contribute to the development of a participatory model for the management and maintenance of the slow mobility network.

Objectives and Activities

DIGIMOBI aims to build a support network for the management and routine and special maintenance of slow mobility routes in the Torre and Natisone Valleys. Its activities combine the collection and organization of local information with the direct involvement of those who live, govern, and work in the area.

The program is organized into four main areas:

mapping of slow mobility routes;
mapping points of environmental, historical, and cultural interest;
the joint identification of priorities for action;
the development of a network governance model.

Surveys, focus groups, and workshops make it possible to integrate local data and knowledge with the experiences, needs, and proposals of local governments, associations, businesses, and other stakeholders. The information gathered also contributes to the digital mapping of the network and the development of tools for its management.

Expected Results

The project aims to establish a sustainable governance model for the slow mobility network, capable of coordinating local governments and other local stakeholders in planning management and maintenance activities.

The mapping of routes, points of interest, and priorities for action feeds into the development of a dedicated digital platform. At the same time, the participatory process contributes to the creation of a system of relationships and shared operating procedures designed to make the most of existing resources and promote coordinated management of the network.

The role of ISIG

ISIG provides technical and scientific support to the Municipality of Stregna in the implementation of DIGIMOBI, overseeing the methodological framework of the project, the involvement of local stakeholders, and monitoring and evaluation activities.

The project includes a preliminary survey and stakeholder mapping, the development of tools for gathering information, and the design and facilitation of participatory sessions. Through focus groups, workshops, and other engagement tools, knowledge is gathered and organized regarding routes, points of interest, priorities for action, and possible governance models for the network.

The Institute’s activities also include the analysis and dissemination of the information collected, as well as communication efforts. The methodological support thus accompanies the various phases of the project, linking local knowledge, participation, and the development of tools for managing the network.
