CiViGen – Civil Service Experiences in Friuli Venezia Giulia is an initiative dedicated to listening to and highlighting the experiences of young people who are currently engaged in—or have recently participated in—civil service programs throughout the region.
The initiative creates a structured forum for dialogue among young people, organizations, and institutions, with the goal of identifying needs, challenges, and expectations and transforming them into useful recommendations for improving the regional civil service system.
Objectives and Activities
CiViGen aims to:
- to highlight the diversity of civil service experiences in Friuli-Venezia Giulia;
- gather feedback and suggestions from participants;
- promote dialogue with organizations and institutions;
- to promote the continuation of civic engagement after the completion of service;
- develop operational guidelines for regional policies.
The Regional Civil Service Day will take place on March 23, 2026, at the headquarters of the Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia in Udine and will feature plenary sessions, interactive sessions, and thematic group discussions.
The activities include an initial listening phase, participatory workshops, and a collective presentation of the key findings and proposals that emerge. Prior to the event, there will also be a brief information-gathering process using a questionnaire for participants.
The role of ISIG
ISIG is responsible for the methodological design and organization of the event, drawing on its expertise in facilitating and managing participatory processes.
Specifically, the Institute is responsible for:
- define the structure and methodologies of the event;
- prepare the preliminary form;
- design and facilitate group activities;
- coordinate opportunities for discussion;
- collect and organize priorities and proposals;
- Ensure that the final results are submitted.
Through CiViGen, ISIG helps transform individual experiences in civil service into shared knowledge and concrete guidance for organizations and institutions.
Results and Tools
The initiative calls for the preparation of a summary of the key findings, including needs, challenges, priorities, and actionable proposals for improving regional policies related to civil service.
