DIGIMOBI Torre e Natisone promotes the development and sustainable management of the network of bike and pedestrian paths and trails in the Torre and Natisone Valleys, along with the environmental, historical, and cultural heritage that it connects.

The project involves sixteen municipalities and the region’s key institutional, organizational, and economic stakeholders in the development of a shared model for managing non-motorized mobility. The activities combine community participation, local knowledge, and digital tools, with the goal of coordinating available resources and making the routes more accessible and user-friendly.

Objectives and Activities

DIGIMOBI includes a process of analysis and community engagement aimed at:

• map slow-traffic routes and major points of interest;
• identify priorities for routine and major maintenance of the network;
• gather information on the needs and proposals of institutions, associations, and economic operators;
• define a shared model for network governance;
• Develop a digital platform for the coordination, management, and promotion of the programs.

Community engagement takes place through surveys, public meetings, and thematic workshops, during which participants help map the network, identify priorities, and define the future management model.

The role of ISIG

ISIG provides technical and scientific support to the Municipality of Stregna and the other municipalities involved, overseeing the methodological framework and coordinating the participatory activities outlined in the project.

The Institute supports the process starting with a preliminary analysis of the local area and the mapping of stakeholders to be involved, preparing the tools for gathering information and planning public meetings and thematic workshops. During local activities, ISIG facilitates dialogue among local governments, associations, economic actors, and local communities, helping to identify shared knowledge, needs, and priorities.

ISIG also oversees the processing and reporting of the collected data, helping to transform the insights gathered from various regions into useful elements for defining the governance model of the slow mobility network. Finally, the Institute supports the monitoring of activities and the communication of results, helping to ensure that the process is transparent, accessible, and consistent with the project’s objectives.
