ISIG ensured the scientific coordination of the work of the European Committee for Democracy and Governance (CDDG) of the Council of Europe, contributing to the implementation of the new recommendation adopted by the Committee of Ministers on September 6, 2023. This recommendation outlines the fundamentals of good democratic governance, introducing 12 new key principles to guide the actions of policy makers and public institutions at all levels. The principles cover such crucial aspects as the promotion of democracy, respect for human rights, the rule of law, public ethics, and the administration of high-quality public services.
