INCE Territorial Cooperation, Multilevel Partnerships and EU Integration: Lessons Learned at the Border Between Italy and Slovenia.

The project concerns a study-visit of a delegation consisting of young administrators, members of elective assemblies and political assistants from the border regions of states not yet members of the European Union, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Moldova, North Macedonia, Serbia and Ukraine.
The initiative proposed different moments for the participants to deal with various issues related to cross-border relations and cooperation starting from historical-cultural ones to economic and governance-related ones, activating a path of transfer of best practices, useful for the members of the delegation to strengthen international skills and collaborations.
The role of ISIG
ISIG curated a workshop entitled “A Participatory Approach to Implementing Cross-Border Cooperation,” with the aim of facilitating a discussion on issues related to cross-border cooperation, multilevel partnerships and European integration through practical experiences and lessons learned from the cross-border region of Italy and Slovenia.
