Excited to have participated in the kick-off meeting of the SYNERGIES project hosted by the project coordinators Deep Blue in Rome!
Leveraging the knowledge and results from five H2020 projects, SYNERGIES aims to enhance disaster preparedness by engaging various stakeholders such as first and second responders, citizens, communities, education systems, authorities, businesses, and practitioners. The project focuses on five key areas:
1. Involvement of all relevant actors,
2. Strengthening education and training,
3. Effective communication with citizens,
4. Managing spontaneous volunteers,
5. Ensuring the sustainability of preparedness solutions.
The project builds upon the results and solutions developed by the ENGAGE H2020, H2020 – RESILOC, LINKS EU Project, IMPACT, BuildERS H2020, and Ready2Help projects.
Three preparedness cases in different pilot sites will guide the project, allowing for progress evaluation and showcasing final results. We are very happy to reconnect with old friends from previous projects and meet new partners as we embark on this journey together!
