Abstract: The necessity for a multidisciplinary approach , with the aim of fully understanding the concept of EU integration, was the core objective of the XV International Summer School “Innovation and Creativity. New Solutions to the challenges of the New Europe” (Gorizia, 7-19/09 2009). It focused on the study of integrated, multi-disciplinary and participatory methods and tools where the production of knowledge and its efficient brokerage is held essential to support innovative civil society dynamics and pro-active policy formulation. Working groups among the participants were organised to develop jointly original papers hereby published.
